Future goals: Do you intend to train the dog for specific work, such as therapy dog certification, agility sports, obedience competitions, or hunting?

a. The “quiet puppy” asleep in the corner during your visit might actually be the highest-energy, most assertive puppy in the litter who just finished a massive play session

b. The puppy that ran to you first might just be the most impulsive, which may not fit a home with toddlers.

Preventing Mismatches: Statistics show that a high percentage of surrendered or returned dogs result from personality or energy clashes between the owner and the dog. We the Breeder prevent this by placing a high-drive puppy on a farm or active working home and a relaxed puppy in a quieter household.

Preserving the Breeding Program: Show and preservation, we need to evaluate which puppies have the conformation, structure, or working potential to stay in the program or go to show/breeding homes, rather than accidentally letting a top prospect go to a pet-only home.
